Dive into the sticky, sweet, bold flavours featured in this Honey Bourbon Chicken, which is served on a bed of flavourful dirty rice. With a history as deep and rich as each bite itself, dirty rice can be traced back to the late 1700s in Southern Louisiana and is also known as Cajun Rice. No need to worry if you’re not a spice-lover, this dish favours interesting textures and bright colours over pure heat.

Cooking Instructions
- Place the pickled escovitch beets on your counter to thaw while you get started.
- In a large non-stick pan, add the contents of the chicken and sauce pouch with ¼ cup of water. Cook over medium heat for 7-8 min, stirring occasionally until warmed through.
- Meanwhile, in a second non-stick pan, add the contents of the rice pouch with 3-5 tbsp of water and cook over medium heat for 5-6 min, stirring occasionally until the rice is warmed through.
- Plate the honey bourbon chicken alongside the Cajun dirty rice and garnish with the pickled escovitch beets. Enjoy!
